Our initial encounter with Feed My Starving Children transpired during a community outreach function in collaboration with Elevation Church. It took merely two hours of volunteering for Greg and I to become captivated by the experience. The camaraderie we shared, the individuals we encountered, and the staggering number of meals our team diligently assembled that day made an indelible impression. Witnessing the impact of our collective effort ignited an unquenchable desire to further contribute to this remarkable cause.
Feed My Starving Children Mission
Feed My Starving Children is a Christian nonprofit organization and called to feed God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. You will hear us say this again and again: “We want to reach everyone, until ALL are fed.” We truly mean this. This means reaching the hard-to-reach people and places, the “least of these.” They will be found, and they will be fed. With God’s help we will work together with organizations and ministries across the globe to end hunger.
Every year, millions of children die from preventable causes such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria and undernutrition. Hunger is still causing nearly half of deaths in children under 5 years old. From this data, we estimate at least 6,200 children die each day from causes related to undernutrition. This is heartbreaking.
Feed My Starving Approach
FMSC has developed a straightforward process to make a meaningful impact. Donations from individuals and businesses provide the necessary funding for sourcing meal ingredients. Dedicated volunteers work diligently to hand-pack meals. The final step involves partnering with food organizations worldwide to distribute these meals to children in need. Through this collaborative effort, young lives are not only nourished, but also saved.
We look forward to serving again with this organization and making a positive impact on the lives of the youth. Devoting just a few hours can make a significant difference.
